Strength:
Heat strengthened
glass has a breaking resistance approximately
twice as high as annealed glass.
Temperature
Resistance:
Heat strengthened
glass can withstand temperature of upto295°C
It also provides resistance to thermal stress
associated with high performance glazing materials
such as tinted glass, reflective glass and low
- E glass in insulting units and spandrels.
Distortion:
Heat strengthened glass with its lower processing
temperature results in the facade having less
optical distortion.
Safety:
Heat strengthened glass breaks into larger pieces
and remains in the window frames. In addition,
the probability of nickel Sulphide induced spontaneous
breakage is practically non - existent.
