Tempered
glass is the same as Toughened glass. The
name varies among
various countries and manufacturers.

|
Tempered/Toughened
glass is a Heat Processed Glass produced
by heating annealed glass to approximately
650ºC (1202ºF), at which point
it begins to soften. The surfaces of this
heated glass are then cooled (quenched)
rapidly.

It
results the outer skin under powerful compressive
stress and the interior with secure tensile
stress.
|
|
 |
| |
|
|
|
In
consequence, the impact applied to the glass
will be overcome by the compressional force
as the surfaces to assure safety if use.

|
| The
consumers of the Toughened Safety Glass business
demand high efficiency, flexibility from the
glass processor. |
|

The
advanced technology of HTF Tamglass furnace
gives flexibility to the tempering process
and the capability to do today what others
may be able to do in future. |
