Home » Insulating Glass
An insulating glass is made by fusing two or more glass panes spaced by dry air or inert gas. The system is perfected by separating the glass panes with an aluminium spacer tube, joined at each corner and filled with a specially designed adsorbent. The unit is then sealed around the perimeter with a flexible sealant. The inner seal is applied with buty (polyisobutylene) sealant and the outer with an elastic based on polysulphide polymer or silicone.
Gold Plus insulating Glass saves on heating and cooling by reducing air to air heat transfer.
External noise pollution is effectively reduced by insulating glass. This depends on the combination of the insulating glass. Using one of the panes as laminated glass or using panes of unequal thickness help in combating the noise.
personal comfort and energy conservation too can be heightened as the absence of cold or warm droughts brought about by insulation make the internal environment pleasant .
Increases ability to withstand high degrees of wind pressure. Gold plus insulating glass provides high quality of finish to the building.
