Tinted float glass is a heat-absorbing body tinted glass product .It is produced by the float process with the addition of small quantities of metal oxides to color the normal clear glass mix. This coloration is achieved through adding metal oxides at the smelting stage. Addition of color does not affect the basic properties of the glass, even though visible light reflectance will be slightly higher than clear glass.
Tinted glass produced in different color like Green, Grey, Blue and Bronze etc.
Grey float is the traditional medium grey tinted glass characterized by its low light transmission and good control of solar heat and glare.
Green float was initially used for automotive applications as it has very high light transmission. Modern green tints offer better solar performance with superior light transmittance to traditional grey and bronze tints.
